Having sensitive skin, I don’t like wearing heavy foundation and always opted to use BB creams. A lot of the BB creams I have tried though are really just tinted moisturisers. And then, I decided to try Seventeen BB Magic Blemish Balm from Boots – and I knew I found the one.

“Just when you thought you’ve found it, you have to find a new one.” – This Scribbler Mum
‘Oh dear, I guess I need to buy more BB Cream. Hopefully I can get enough out of this tube for today.
Just need to stop by Boots to get something.
Where is it? Is it only available in the bigger stores? Hmmm. I guess they don’t sell it in the smaller shops.
Better check online which store has it in stock before going tomorrow. Wow! It’s on offer for only around £2! Definitely need to get them tomorrow.
Totally forgot to check if they stock it in this store but it’s a big store and I got it here before so they should sell it.
Umm, excuse me. Where are the Seventeen make-up products at?
It’s being phased out?!?
Noooo! Why oh why?!?’
Okay that may be a little over dramatic but still, why does this always happen? Everytime I find a good make-up product that agrees with my sensitive skin, they decide to stop making them.
Just to give a little bit of background, I have sensitive skin and controlling breakouts have been quite a challenge. So, when I found this Seventeen BB cream that claims to improve skin and prevent breakouts, I had to try it.
And boy, was I glad that I did because it works really well for me. After the first use, I immediately noticed an improvement on my skin and one year after, I haven’t had any major breakouts. I would not say that it gives me perfectly flawless skin but not having many angry spots is definitely fantastic.
So you can imagine why not being able to purchase it again is upsetting for me. Once it’s gone, I will be back to square one, looking for that all in one product that will help keep the major breakouts away.
Right now, while I can still buy it online, my plan is to stock up. And if you know of any good BB creams that have the same benefits, as effective and affordable, please let me know.

I use a B.B. cream from bare minerals and I love it. I have sensitive skin and it’s fine. Hope you stock up! #globalblogging

CYO, the replacement range, may use the same formula so that may work. I also used loads of 17 stuff and am gutted to see it go. Dolly Eyes is the only mascara I can apply properly

Thanks for the info. Should check out CYO, hopefully it’s the same formula.

Did you manage to find a bb cream to replace the seventeen bb cream? I’m currently trying to find a replacement and really struggling to find anything as good after trying several different ones 😦

I know a lot have been asking me the same. Unfortunately I haven’t found a good replacement either. 😕

#thesatsesh hmmm can’t help I’m afraid, stock up online. However, I can totally recommend a mascara for £3 from wilkinson’s – its in a pink tube and is better than my high brand ones, think its called Essence?

I tried a BB cream a while ago, I forget what it was but I just didn’t really like it that much. I keep meaning to try another brand! #fortheloveofblog

So annoying when this happens to a product you love. Afraid I don’t have any knowledge of BB Cream – I’ve never really known what it does! #Bloggerclubuk

Such a shame your favourite product is being discontinued, that’s just not fair! #globalblogging

I use bb cream but three years ago the brand I use discontinued that specific bb cream here in South Africa. I discovered that it was still on the market in Australia so now whenever family come and visit they need to bring me stock #fortheloveofblog

Ooh I do like a B.B. cream too. Sometimes I mix it with a bit of foundation and others I just use it by itself. My favourite at the moment is MACs B.B. cream – I really rate it. One of the best I have used. Thanks for joining us at #familyfun

That is so annoying when you find something you really like and they stop doing it. I hope you manage to find something to replace it.

I love BB cream! I am not keen on sticking with a single brand as I think (perhaps wrongly!) that your skin adapts to it so it works less well. Thanks for linking up with #stayclassymama

My skin likes to keep it the same unfortunately. 😊

Oh no!! I hate to when that happens. I have been disappointed by BB creams in the past too. Thanks for linking up with the #bigpinklink this week.

I have a feeling that I missed the memo about BB cream, because I don’t think I have ever tired one. Is this a cream you stick on before you go to bed, or actual makeup? Yikes. However, I do know what you mean when you find a perfect product, and then it only goes and disappears off the shelf. Grrr. Thanks for joining us for the #DreamTeam xx

2 years on I haven’t found a replacement either. I’ve written to Boots twice (advises in-store they might listen) and received short shrift from boots emphasising they will NOT be restoring it, just as they had previously advised in my September email!
Not impressed!!
