Happy Father’s Day

It’s almost June and Father’s day is not too far away. Since I wrote a poem for Mother’s day, here’s a short and simple one for the dads too.

“To the world, a father is merely a man. To a family, a father is superman.” – This Scribbler Mum

Of course you get a special day too
It’s only fair.
It may not be that obvious to you
But we do care.

To the one my babies call daddy
You’re doing great.
You are their knight. You keep them happy.
There is no debate.

To my own father whom I look up to
Hear this today.
I’m proud to call you dad, it’s time you knew.
Just had to say.

To you both and all the fathers who do their best,
Although it’s cliche –
Cheers! Well done! You’re number one and all the rest! …
Happy Father’s day!
